I have a gold ring with a Golden Dutch Ducat coin embedded in it. The front of the coin says "concordia.res.par.cres.tra" with the year 1815. I found a couple of these golden Ducat coins on ebay with the starting bid of about $300. However, I haven't found any place that would have this golden coin embedded in a ring. Does anybody know how much this ring could be worth? Let me know if you need any more information about it.

Once a coin is turned into jewelry, it loses it's numismatic value and only has bullion or jewelry value.

Nice ring though, I wouldn't turn it down if someone offered it to me.

Thank you. I will try some jewelry forum to see what they say. I also have 2 Russian 5 rubel coins but I will start a new thread for that.

Ask others if you want, but he's right. It's worth it's gold content and that's it. And so you know, the coin weighs 3.5 grams and is made of .986 gold - almost pure gold in other words. The fineness of the gold in the ring itself, that should be stamped on the inside of the ring.

Given what I've told you, you can weigh the ring and accurately determine it's actual gold content to determine overall value.
