At a yardsale today I bought a brand new Kodak Easyshare DX6490. 4MP sounds wimpy right? Well MP is not the big factor, the optics are. This has a schneider kreuznach variogon lens. (Say that 3x fast). Price was $5. It was so cheap because she could not find the charger. It had a brand new rechargeable battery with it as well. I was a little skeptical as I've never used nor owned a Kodak, but I figured at $5, I could get at least $20 if I didn't like it. Luckily the new battery had enough charge in it to snap 1 macro picture. I picked up a new charger for $8 on eBay. So I'm in for $14. I am really amazed at the macro capabilities of this camera. The current camera I was using for coins was actually my mom's (Was mine, I gave it to her) 10mp Nikon camera. It's a nice cam, but the macro is horrible. I was blew away at the image it took. I've owned a $200 16.1 MP Canon ELPH series, that could not produce such a nice macro. Only thing that rivaled this was my Nikon DSLR. So here I have it, stunning macro images for $14.
Sweet!! Okay, I'm convinced!! If I ever said anything that offended you, I apologize. How do you want to receive the $20? How much is the postage? Please PM me with particulars. :thumb:
Well said! How ironic that someone who has so shamelessly self-promoted throws a red-ink fit over a likely innocent comment.
You might want to brush up on your basic math skills. $5 + $8 = $13 Not $14. Many potential employers are looking for employees that are proficient at basic math (like simple addition). By the way, congrats on the nice $13 purchase. You can't go wrong there.
Hey! Lay off! We all make mistakes, possible he did his math right and just hit the wrong key, or he paid 9 for the charger, and just accidentally put 9, has nothing to do with the whole job thing!
It's A Joke, Son! It's a joke young feller! I wouldn't deprive someone of their new found enjoyment when a serious PM, as I normally send, would probably quickly determine whether the camera was actually for sale. I suspect that with patience, I could locate a similar camera for less than my offer. I just appreciate his refreshing positive post. I'm anticipating yours! :thumb:
I agree, dog gone it! Oh, by the way, regarding your "location," I do not wanna "stock" you. Har Har Har Har!
It must be another of those odd nights Play nice now or I will send the coin fairy to tarnish your ASE.
Nice pic, Detecto! I use a Kodak easyshare for most of my pics. I bought a new one (8mp) at a yard sale for a dollar with no cords but all my old cords fit. @thecoin -"stalk" not "stock" lol!
