Quality stuff is selling very strong. I had bids for 50-75% ABOVE PCGS guide and lost all seven lots, many with me as the immediate underbidder. Very frustrating.
not sure which lots you're looking at that went cheap. I bid on roughly 20 items so far and was only able to win one of them! I think the prices have been quite strong.
Someone to grieve with! I hope MAYBE I can score something in the paper section tomorrow that I've been looking at, but my hopes aren't high... I thought I was going to win my lots with my bids and not even reach the full bid, but I was mistaken
Was initially watching the MS and PR mercs. Didn't say cheap - just below the numismedia prices they provide with each lot. Hope those that are bidding have better luck.
That makes some sense. Generics tend to not be so strong, though some really high grade proofs and business strikes or premium for the grade stuff would have done well probably.
i am a member of ha with only limited success to date on winning bids,but the coins seem to me to be a bit expensive.no matter how much i want something i refuse to overpay,but that's just me.
