there are threads for stuff people just bought, their morgans, their barber, and several other things but i have yet to see one about old copper. i know coins well, but i am not the best with copper so want to see what people have and what it is graded/they think it grades. i am talking about indian heads and later.

I prefer copper to silver or gold and have a lot of it, but nothing photographed at the moment. I also don't consider a numerical grade when I pursue a piece, so I have no thoughts there.

haha that is a good question, i have been meaning to send that coin out for a couple years but i always end up spending the money on some other coins/bullion and now im going to be buying a pistol instead. i personally think it is a au 58 but i am terrible at grading copper which is why i started this thread

it amazes me how well these ancient coins have held up. were they more bronze then copper or something else in the metal that didn't let them corrode as much? location of the coin maybe?
