I have a 1911 1 Peso that is referred to as a Caballito as I was told. I was asked if it was long or short ray type. I have compared what I have with a picture but not sure what to be looking for to determine if long or short ray. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if I can be of much help but I'll try. The book I have describes the difference as a 'long lower left ray on reverse' vs 'short lower left ray on reverse', with the Short Ray version being more valuable. I was unable to dig up a pic to compare the 2. Hopefully someone will come along with pics to show the difference and help you further.
    Good luck.

Edited to add: This site shows a pic of 1910 and explains the 1911 short ray a little further

If I'm understanding what that site says correctly, the '11 short ray looks the same as the '10 pictured.

Thanks. I looked at the pictures and I have the long rays.
