    i fournd a red fiber coin in my grandmothers things when she passed. some people say it is valuable is it?

    I suspect it's probably a ration token.

    Pics are a necessity.

    Does it have a big 1 in the center with OPA above it and RED POINT below? Same thing on both side and a small letter on either side of the 1?

    If it is a ration token, the only valuable one is the one with letters MV.

    Hi, from what I have read, there are only a few hundred MV tokens out there. It was the last one released and wasn't made for long at all. All of the rest of the letter combos, there are millions of each. I have collected an entire set, as well as a bunch of errors, and some other food store tokens. Same size and material as the OPA tokens. I posted a couple of pictures a while back on here of food store ones, that I still need. For the most part they are neat and cheap to collect. Rob

    OPA tokens can be had for a buck or less except for the MV. It sells for upwards of $100
