They are "flipper" notes. Serial number 09098100 flipped is 00186060, 19808010 flipped is 01080861, and 00086966 flipped is 99698000.

Never heard of a flipper note. Could someone explain? I know about radar notes, binaries, etc. but never a flipper. Wait, I think I see it now. The numbers make when flipped are still numbers. Does a 2 work for a 5?

I do not really collect notes, but I have been doing some research on them just to know what to look out for on bills. The only ones I really save are the low serials, binarys and repeaters.

don't forget radars. nothing wrong with going for trinarys also

From what I understand, the trinarys are also ploys to sell worthless notes.

I'm inclined to agree with Steve on this one. For myself and some others, "low" starts with 4 leading zeroes, and for other collectors, it starts with 5 leading zeroes. 3 leading zeroes is not low at all.

  17. I agree 150 %, some will dream up most anything just to make a fast buck on worthless items.

I've seen the "flipper" serial number format also described as a "swimmer" or "swims note".
