This has got to be the worst condition 70 PPQ. I've seen a lot of 70 notes from this eBay seller, but most are in good condition - at least 60+.

Certainly they're not in the same class as a PCGS or PMG 70. But this one is quite ridiculous.

Have y'all seen any "70s" with worse wear?

    70?

    Perhaps 70% of an unc?

Everything in a CEC slab is a 70.

More like 70% less than an unc

As far as I know, only the newbies take these seriously. I think he makes the holders in his mother's basement.

CEC has the testosterone makers to call that a "perfect new" bill?

i don't think i have ever seen a 70 from either PMG or PCGS. those are the only graders i deal with when it comes to paper currency

See this goes to point out my favorite saying "research is key..." and always investigate before you buy.. check to see if they use 100point system sure.. but the bills still. Not worth it.. buy the coin not the holder... seriously..

Perhaps an example of why a 1-100 grading system might be better that the current 1-70?

  20. I see that the serial number on the holder does not match the number on the note, does that make it a "rare" error.

No currency grader uses a 1-100 point system. There is no hidden meaning behind CEC grading this worn note a 70 other than they grade every note a 70PPQ to cheat new people to collecting.
