    $10.00 in pennies
    4 wheat Oldest 1920
    62 pre 70's
    139 pre 82
The 1920 is in my opinion about MS 63 red/brown I saw the back and thought it was probably a 50's era. When I flipped it and saw the date made my day. Good luck hunting! Hoping to get some pictures to add.

    Weekly results:

    Quarters ($400 searched): Wash x1, and a 1976S 40% silver proof
    Dimes ($1225 searched): Roosie x7
    Nickels ($332 searched): War x4, Buffalo x1, a 1988S Proof, and a 1939D!
    Pennies ($26 searched): Wheat x20
    Halves ($3029 searched): 40% x5

For whatever reason this week, all of my pickup bank tellers just up and ordered me extra boxes of halves, so my 2-4 boxes per week jumped to 6. Really can't see myself sustaining that kind of volume and my results were meager to boot, so for the time being I'll be satisfied sticking to a few less.

Total silver found was 1.7255 ozt. Highlights of the week was the 40% silver proof quarter (my 2nd 40% this year) and (finally!) the 1939D for my album. Foreign finds: 80c Canada, 1c Bahamas, 1kr Sweeden, 2c Euro, 45p UK, 10c Ecuador, 1c Bermuda, 11c Panama, 10c Dominican Republic, 20r Switzerland, 10c Aruba, 5p Philippines, and $1 Mexico

    My 2 boxes of nickels:
    hundreds of pre-1970s, including a couple 1939s, 40s, and 41s
    At least 100 1964's
    1943p, 44p, 43p, 44p, and a 45p wartime silvers
    Penny box:
    Many cdn, hundreds of copper
    Wheaties: 47d, 44, 55d, 45, 51, 45, 52d, and 57d

I got lazy and stopped counting after the numbers got high...

2 bags of dimes gave up 4 roosies and a 1967 silver canadian. While picking up one of the bags for the weekend a teller pulled out a 1968 half dollar she had been saving for me. Nice!

Generally how long after you order a box of coins do they come in? I'm thinking of ordering my first box of coin tomorrow (nickels)

Here's the pics of the IKE I found in $22 loose

So after I got cut off from my 8 boxes I went to the closest banks before they closed at noon begging for any coin I could buy. I picked up $3.00 in skunk halves and $22 in IKES. The vault was closed so they denied me any Q's and D's I was asking for. It was the highlight of the day for sure.

For the last couple months I have turned 5 previous buy banks into dump banks because my volume was so high I needed them more as dump banks than as buy banks. Now I'm short on buy banks, yes an interesting problem because it's usually the other way around. I can get dimes from a handful of banks but I'll be short on halves. I do most of my dumping during the week and p/u on the weekend. Now I have no coin to dump and I need to p/u during the week. Problem is, none of the buy banks are close enough to get to during a short 30 minute lunch break. I'll have to do some calling around today and see if I can turn a dump bank back into a buy bank. Also should I escalate the situation with the former dump bank about getting cut off? Or should I turn those poor girls into a dump bank. It's going to be one or the other for them.

I don't have the time to bother with searching coins right now but when I did I would periodically rotate between buying and selling rolls of coins at some banks. I would buy from one bank for a couple of weeks, take a break from going there for a while and then use it to dump coins there again as I rotated between the other banks in town. Getting my old rolls back rarely happened so it was not like that was a big issue. With that said though, I would typically drop off no more than fifty rolls as I never considered making a career out of roll searching.

My advice is to ease off with the heavy coin searching for a while. Doing so will let things cool off with these banks. After a couple of weeks of not seeing you, these tellers will have more of a refreshed attitude and would be more open to dealing with you again.

I disagree. Walk in, explain it. In my experience, they'd rather order than deal with your dumps. Less work.

I did some calling around this morning to find a notary, one happened to be at buy bank that would get me halves but they were kind of unreliable, so I decided to go there. As luck would have it, the miserable head teller was there and I asked him to order me two boxes of halves. He said he would order tomorrow for delivery on Wednesday. I've had good luck there before so we shall see.

The other bank is a nice dump bank, I have such a good relationship with them, that I could still dump halves there but they would also supply me with a couple boxes of dimes which I would dump elsewhere.

I do have a call in with the headteller at the bank that cut me off, perhaps we can sort things out and they can provide me a box or two per week. If not, I've found yet another dump bank.

More likely than not, I'll be able to get $2k in halves per week along with $1-$2k in dimes.

I agree they don't groan as loud when your buying the coin compared to when your dumping the coin.
