So earlier today I bid on and did not win this coin:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/GORGEOUS-1959-Roosevelt-Dime-RAINBOW-TINTING-90-Silver-/320998916406?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT&nma=true&si=8zfrGf3eFX9yiMw7XE2NEdTfL%2B8%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

    I
    t ended at 17:45

So while I'm browsing rosies, I see THE SAME COIN again.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/GORGEOUS-1959-Roosevelt-Dime-RAINBOW-TINTING-90-Silver-/321000876028?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item4abd24a7fc

    It was listed at 18:04.

I find it very suspisicous that after I did not win, it was relisted 19 minutes later. This was a no reserve auction either.

The winner of that auction also has 97% bidding activity with this seller. That means 97% of his/her bids are for this sellers items.

Oh wow....looking through the sellers completed listings I see the same exact coin being relisted 3-4 times. The last listing has the highest price. This has shill written all over it.

You can send him a "friendly note" saying that you have noticed his habits and should they continue, they will be reported.

Why do that? Go ahead and report him. You owe him nothing, and you benefit no one except cheaters by failing to report them.

If I got that sort of "friendly note" from a stranger, I'd turn it over to eBay as harassment.

Wow, that looks like one remarkably stupid shill.

I smell a hypocrite.....so short his memory on his own shill bid.

I don't remember him shill bidding but I do remember him advocating (possibly on multiple occasions) collusion among bidders so everyone gets their coins cheaper.

Yes, report him/her to eBay and let's sit back and watch eBay do nothing about it. I've had this happen to me before with an Albainian seller.

I noticed that the winner of the dime has 3 retractions on him/her.

There is a difference in advocating something unethical/illegal and actually doing it. I am somewhat unsure why so much time is spent on investigating eBay activity ( by several in other threads also) when one doesn't have any money in the game. Report it and let eBay deal with it and spend the time with family or reading older knowledge laden threads here on CT. IMO.

For me I would rather educate people about these shams and report it to eBay. Most likely they will come up again in the future. When I did a web search from a sentence from the auction i posted, this was the first form I seen.

I can smell shilling miles away. Always check history and feedback before bid on something. In case of great price and low feedback, I usually go for it. However, most of case if I can't get for right price then I will not bid any more than what I want for it. Shilling is a form of coward that seller can't being honest and sell at price. I did won an IKE coin with U upside down clash for $5 and $2.50 shipping cost. I never got the coin and report to seller that I didn't recieve the coin. The seller quickly refund. In next month, the coin appeared once again from same seller. I didn't bother to pursue the coin or any coins from this seller again.

The only thing I see wrong is why someone would even consider bidding/buying that coin in the first place. ;)
