I think it would be really awesome if the US mint did a special commemorative set in 2016 for the 100 year anniversary of the Mercury dime, SLQ, and WLH in 1 oz high relief 90% silver coins. Anyone else think that would be cool?
Nah, if they're going to do 1-oz, make it .999 silver. I'd find high-relief issues of these awfully hard to resist.
I would love it if they just did a one year circulation run of those coins plus the buffalo and wheat cent. Make them clad and true to their original design only dated 2016. Of course they can make collector mint sets, proof, and silver proof sets too. I would finally have a proof SLQ, a combination of two of my favorite things.
I agree, I usually to find modern commemorative coins from the Mint not to my liking but a 1 oz High Relief SLQ would be impossible to resist!
