    Well it was minted in San-Francisco so it would be a 1878-S, probably only worth its melt in silver.

    Greysheet bid for an xf 1878s is $41.00. You could probably get $30-$35.00 for it on eBay after fees are paid. You did very good on it if you just paid silver price
