What would you offer for this collection?

I have the chance to buy this lot. The seller is asking $1,658 for the entire lot. After looking at the values of each of the coins, mainly the silver dollars and the ASE as he is willing to "throw" in the other coins for the price mentioned, I am thinking a fair price is $1,325.

What are your thoughts? Would you buy this lot and if so what price would you try to get?

Thank you for your thoughts and opinions.

Well the two Carson City Morgans in those cases go for $200 and up. I can't really judge the other coins, as the picture is a little small. I do notice that some of those Slabbed Morgans are in some unrecognized slabs. Is this for the lot's silver value or numismatic value?

I try to stick to silver value but think I can get a good overall deal and flip the CC's. The seller is anxious to sell, so I think I can get a good deal. Let's see if this picture is better. Ideally I would like to get the collection for 90 to 95% of silver value after I flip the CC's of course.

What are those Washington Quarters and that Mercury Dime? Are those any special dates to be in an individual case? Like a 1916-D Merc or 1932-D&S Washies.

$1,325 is more than I would spend on that lot.

I'd max out at $1200 for that without being able to see more detail on the actual coins. The melt on the Morgans is about $500+, the two CC's should be at least $200 each, but that's still under $1k. At $1325 you'd probably be lucky to break even.

The seller is asking way to much for me to even make an offer. These grab bag collections never seem to be beneficial to the buyer, they just help dealers unload things that are, on their own, not worth listing individually. The CCs in this lot are the obvious exception.

Your only sure about six of the coins are authentic. You need to do more than get opinions online to know if it is a good or bad deal.
