The image is very distorted but it looks like strike doubling to me. If so no collector value.

welcome to the forum. I see something but can't tell if it's just [ MD] mechanical doubling or from a real doubled die. a better photo may help.

I'm not sure from the pic, but it may be a DDR, not MD. Enlarge the pic as much as possible and note the separation around the lips & eye. If it looks like that in hand, I'd send it in for verification. What mint is it, P or D?

I double checked and it appears that all other 2012 Sacajawea's have a face and an upper arm as well.

On that note I do see some doubling.

I've got to agree with you on this one. With the shadow line from the chin to the headband it appears to be rounded not flat. Also take a good look at the lips.

In my opinion it would be a waste of time and money to submit a coin with no collector value.

Enlarge the pic as much as possible. I got to a point where my pointer was a + sign over the pic, I clicked on the pic and that made the pic very large and clear. If you can get to that view, tell us what you see.

I see what you mean but I have a feeling that phenomena is due to the lighting of the subject.

And distortion caused by shooting through a loupe.

Could be, pics can be deceiving. But, if it looks the same in hand, I'd send it in.

So, it's a D mint in the uncirculated dollar set? It doesn't appear to be a proof in the silver proof set?
