I was considering getting a Dansco 7184 for each P & D dollars, looks like a cool album but i was wondering if they will tone, turn brown, or get spotty. does anyone have one?

The coins will change a bit. It is hard to say how your coins will look though, your environment will determine that. My suggestion is to collect the entire series, then fill the album at one time. This will help keep the collection all looking similar.

Mine are in a Dansco with the Intercept-Like sleve and they are toning a lot. I really like the toning (they're more golden and orange) and since I tried to protect them with the sleve, proving theat I wanted them to tone so beautifully will be difficult! I have another set in the Intercept Album with sleve and it seems to have prevented them from toning...so far.

  5. I have mine in a Dansco and some have started toning a nice reddish orange color...very nice. TC

These coins will tone if you just look at them wrong so yeah they will probably tone in the album.

To slow down place in a ziplock bag with some silica packets.

You're right, the Dansco album is cool and informative, especially if you're collecting them for kids. I've had the coins in the Dansco album since they first came out and have noticed only slight "toning." Looks like the album is NOT air tight, but if you only plan to collect them and not sell them for profit, who cares, right?

BTW, are these coins worth anything over a dollar each?

Not much going on with my Dansco presidents......must be the way I store them. :)
