War nickel attracted to magnet

    Examine the edge very carefully in the area where it is magnetic. There used to be a magic trick that used a coin with a small piece of iron inserted in the edge to allow the coin to be separated out from others with a magnet. I've seen a few of these before but not too many.

    ca 10% of my uncleaned roman coins from the 4th century are attracted by a magnet :) ( not kidding )

    You got 8 magnets that I can count, and it picks the coin up and barely drops it. Is it just me, but why so many magnets stacked like that?....I bet if I put 8 magnets back to back, I could probably pick up copper just a little.
