    You picked a hard one, there are 6 different varieties listed in Krause for 1862 half pennies. They all seem to deal with different letters around the lighthouse, or no letters. I can't tell from the pics what yours has.

    Hi,

    UK grading on this would probably be vg. Without any letters by the lighthouse it is the common variety, and in this condition worth no more than GBP 0.50.

    Have a careful look for any letters - A B or C at the foot of the lighthouse, because if they are there, starting price would be GBP 300!
