I've minted a few personal tokens and they can get quite expensive ($10 each) Dont think it'll happen but if you get enough interest, I think you should see if Tom Maringer is still active in his minting
Another board where I post has had three club medals struck by Daniel Carr. But they were silver and silver dollar size.
There have been similar ideas before, but in the end it never worked out. The cost is too prohibitive and there are never enough orders to even pay the base costs. A big part of the reason for this is because everybody wants something different. They either want a different design, want it made of a different material, think the cost is too high, or they just change their minds and back out. We even tried it with t-shirts one time. Ask Peter how well that turned out. Great idea, it just never works.
Hey, Tim, how long did it take you to come up with this idea? Would that time have been better spent trying to come up with an idea of how YOU could be making some money? How's the job search coming?
A tribute to the man who keeps this forum a fun place to be. And a tribute to someone who will toke the time offer an opinion and advice to anyone who asks even the most ridicules questions. Sometimes we take for granted the good work that the mods do here. I am a member of four different coin forums, but this one is the only one that I frequent anymore.
Jeez. Thanks so much (sarcasm). Now I've got to figure out how much Doug needs to pay me to take that. (tee hee hee)
