I have kept these in my possession for awhile and kinda of thought they were errors but nowhere can i find info on them. Could someone shed some light on them, and maybe if they have value over the face? The Quarter looks to be every so slightly of center. The edge comes really close to the lettering. Also on the reverse the bottom section (in the picture) appears to have no edge. (With also some wear to it). The Penny has a slightly higher edge than the rest of it. Described as "rail road tracks." Thanks!
They are both minor misaligned die strikes. Very little, if any, premium. Probably more valuable to you as educational/reference pieces so you know what it looks like in future. Welcome to the forum!
The quarter looks like it was struck w/ a misaligned obverse die The cent looks like a partial collar strike (also affectionately known as a "railroad rim") Both are relatively common type of errors in these series of coin and aren't dramatic enough to command any sort of premium on today's market.
