I was cherry picking a box of pennies and came across these two pennies. The first one is a 2011 with a strange color. The color was more of a golden color. I took it to a coin shop at first he said it may have been cleaned with acid. After examining it further he had ruled that out but could not say for sure what happen. He said it cold be an error in mixing the die or metals. I then took it to a coin club where I am a member they suggest to hold on to it. The next I can not make out what happen, but here's that photo.
The first cent could be plated. I used to do gold plating on other things but to "condition" my plating solution I would plate a coin or two and I would later spend them. The second looks to me like maybe at one point something hit the "1" and scraped the top off pushing it over. Not an expert, just saying what they look like to me.
