Today I dropped by a local regional bank for a $45 coin roll hunt. To my surprise, I found 33 wheat cents in a single roll. These were all common date finds of which 9 were various "S" mints. Though many of these coins are quite worn, all dates are readable and a few are in fine condition. It is so refreshing to find these coins with dates as far back as 1916, after getting skunk rolls quite often. I also found a heavily worn 1916 buff in a CWR earlier in the week. I get skunk rolls often but am not giving up! One of these days I hope to find some premium coins, which will really make the effort worth while.

Congrats! I felt good about myself for finding 19 wheats including a 1927-P in a $25 brick today. I once had a single nickel roll yield 9 silver wartimes in it. It's out there, just keep digging.
