I found a coin collection in the attic belong to my Dad. I have no idea what any of them could be worth. I was wondering if anyone here would be able to help me see if any of them are worth anything. I have loads but I'll just put up a few for now. If you guys want to see pictures of any of them let me know.

i dont have my foreign book near me but go to your local library. they usually have the world coin books that can tell you what is silver and some sort of price (that is usually to high and in america foreign stuff doesn't go for book values that often). sad thing is most coin shops sell foreign coins 5/7 for a dollar or you can buy foreign coins by the pound for a few bucks. so lets hope some of the old stuff is silver!!

    Hi There,

Not much to get excited about I fear. My speciality is British, so I can tell you the 1923 Halfcrown is 0.500 Silver and would go at melt value unless in startling good condition.

The 1820 coin depends on what it is! Either post a picture, or give me diameter, metal and weight and I can tell you more. Nothing massively scarce in that year, so it depends a lot on condition.

Of the foreign ones, the German must be a 10 pfennig - in which case very low value. The Chinese 10 Cash - there are lots of dates and provinces for these - post a pic and the experts will tell you. The rest looks too modern to be valuable.

    I hope that helps!

    Paddy
