Oh my! Would this be considered a counterstamp?

    Great coin! Looks like it might set someone a little behind ;) if they want it :) If it wasn't BIN I would have took a crack at it. :) Imagine a US coin like this... People would butt heads over this design for sure! :D

    That's an interesting coin Numismat. It's not a counterstamp, but not sure exactly what to call it. Maybe an "add-on" coin.:eek:

    That makes sense to call it an add-on coin. I guess it would go in the same category as those "pop-out" coins. Not sure if there is a strictly defined terminology for either.

    A pop-out coin is really a counterstamp, but I don't know what exactly to call this one Numismat. It looks like the design was made elsewhere and attached to the coin with glue or solder or something else. Nevertheless, an interesting and unusual piece.
