Argh, so I just bought the Red Book about a week ago. On one of the first pages there's an ad that says "FREE $40 VALUE 2 NGC CERTIFIED Gem Brilliant Uncirculated 2006 Silver Eagle "First Strikes"" by Universal Coin. All you have to pay (apparently) is shipping and handling and insurance. Well, I headed on over to UniversalCoin.com to try to find this nice offer. Could I find it anywhere? Nope. So, then I click "contact us" on their site and write them a nice big letter kindly asking them where I can find it, only to click "submit" and have a bunch of technical jargot spat in my face - so apparently their website's "contact us" form doesn't work either. Since I cannot ask Universal Coin about this since I have no way of getting in touch with them. And since this offer is no where on their site (that I could find.) Can anyone, who has seen this ad/offer please help me find out how I can pay for the S&H/insurance on their site and get the two 'free' coins and take part in their special offer? Thanks, Andrew
well, Coin World or Coin Age, One of them, I don't remember, had a promotion just like that, except it was just one uncirculated 2006 ASE if you bought a subscription...silver was and still if high, and I only payed like 20-25 bucks i think for the coin AND the magazaine!
I got suckered into this offer- What I got was a 20 minute tirade on the benefits of investing with Universal Coin (which I should have hung up on), then was offered only 1 free coin. I (stupidly) bought two additional coins, then, when I received the 3 coins in the mail, found that I was billed for all three ($48.). Once again, LTBB- Let the buyer beware.
There's a phone number on the ad. I called them up, gave them the offer code that's on the page, and got the two ASEs. This would have been about a month, maybe a month and a half ago. After that, they've tried to call me twice to sell me ridiculously expensive gold coins. I've just brushed them off. Two ounces of silver for ten dollars. Sounds good to me. Fish
