I am almost certain that this is straight clipped. Can anyone validate that statement for me as well as shed some light on potential value, if any?
    Thanks!

The rims look right, though the image is fuzzy.

    Value? http://www.ebay.com/itm/LONG-STRAIG...=&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

And here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/STRAIGHT-CL...75?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item484734e6af (love that a 61D is a "rare date" in this auction) :rolling:

Here's one in better shape: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1971d-RARE-...26?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item19d3c364e6

and graded examples, getting under $20, aren't worth submitting unless maybe it's the one free submission in a promotion or something.

Edit: sign in to ebay prior to clicking on the link because the first one is a private auction

Do the O and N of "ONE" on the reverse slant down?

If they do, then I say nice find. I would not think there would be more than a $20.00 premium on it.

Very unclear with these pictures. The rim looks like it has a straight cut on it. But, based on the pictures, I can not say one way or the other. Can you get some close up shots of the edge and the corner of the clips.

Also, value.. I wish they were worth 20 each.. : ) Lincoln Cents are running in the $1-$2 each range.

I found one similar to this but because the rim was silver and the penny was brown...I decided it was definitely PMD and discarded it.

Looks like damage to me too - but i'd need a closeup pic of the edges of the clip to be confident in any determination.

Clips are cheap. I'm auctioning a Lincoln double clip on the bay right now. Opening big of $4 and little interest. Rarity doesn't matter if there is little to no demand.

Here is my biggest clip. I definitely would have picked up that '56 clip for $1.

Clipped planchet because the devices are minted onto the flawed area. It left the Mint that way.

Also, something like this may have no additional value, but I would guestimate $10-$20.

Thanks for all your responses! My digital camera kinda sucks but here are some new shots I tried... lets see if they help at all: IMG_0433.jpg IMG_0434.jpg IMG_0435.jpg IMG_0436.jpg

On the reverse, are the O and N of "ONE" complete or cut-off?

On picture 3 of the last 4 you posted, you can see the ridge left by whatever was used to shear off the piece. As I said before, PMD.
