All will be coins that worked in their time bought by a man that worked a long time to get them.

Thanks creme: the 1960 Proof Roosevelt Dime Toned, $24.99 plus $1.99 shipping on eBay, already graded PR67 by PCGS.

My newest purchase. Might be my only purchase for awhile, hobby funds are tight.

I used to HATE this coin as a kid. Now I think it's pretty cool looking. Plus it's my birthyear.

Not a particularly attractive commemorative coin, but I figured for $13 shipped I should have an example in my horses set. :)

Just picked up these two off GreatCollections. I cherrypicked the dime for $10 (BP included) which has a monster reverse, and managed to win the Franklin for $36 (BP included). I paid about double the Franklin's value for its toning, but overall I think it's worth it.

Finally got around to imaging these.

Also got this stone mountain. Bought it to give to a friend. I hope he enjoys.

I love the reverse proofs! Great images too Caz. Some of the best I have seen you take! Nice.

I've been gaining some interest in Mercury dimes recently. I have a real appreciation for the design and they are very photogenic.
I just randomly decided to put together a "War" set.
Then I decided to try and put together the set with FSB.
Then I don't know what happened.
I found some time to image some.

I bought this raw Ike on eBay a few days ago and I just got it in today's mail. It's very colorful with unusually smooth toning for a Copper Nickel Mint State Ike. In a few days, it's off to robec for some professional photos, then off to PCGS for grading. These large coins are kind of cool, and I wish the mint still made them and they circulated. Having some big dollar coins in your pocket makes you feel kind of rich, even if you only have a few bucks.

    - 5 cents year (1866-1883)?

P.S. The toning may be smooth but what is unusually smooth is the fields and overall coin itself. Thats a nice Ike with the given pics im gonna say it comes back with a MS66.

And newp from greatcollections. It does have some problems in spotting on the reverse and what appears to be a counting wheel mark on the obverse, but I liked the strike and is a good filler until I can find a better one.
