  1. Guys,
Your deal was with the seller, not e bay, he offered something for sale and guys bought what he offered, the seller owes you and should send to you what you bought.

What he's trying to do is make his problem with e bay become your problem. Don't let this happen. Demand the item you bought or a refund.

He thinks he is going to stick eBay with the bill. We are going to get the money back from the seller. But even though eBay is giving us the dollar, the dollar is still going to be applied against the seller's PayPal account, and he won't be able to close his PayPal account if he has a balance due. This is a point I think that the seller missed.

eBay is not hurt by this. eBay will recover the dollar when one of two things happen: the seller pays off his negative balance, or the debt is sold to a collections agency. In the mean time it doesn't hurt eBay's balance sheet, because the debt is treated as an asset. The debt collection agencies are also more than happy to buy the debt to make their exorbitant fees. If he doesn't pay the collections agency, his credit will really suffer. He is hurting himself much more in the long run by taking a stand, rather than trying to appeal eBay's decision.

What ticks me off, is that he is making his customers fight his fight for him in order to get their own money back.

I've been on eBay longer than he has. I stopped selling when Buyer Protection grew so uncontrollably stronger than Seller Protection. But I was never stupid enough to think that I could beat eBay in a battle like this.

At least one person seems to have got it

I never ever thought that I could BEAT Ebay, I simply wanted to tweeeeek their nose on my way out.
I feel I was partially successful, I tweeked their nose but hardly anyone got it. Oh well.
As you may have observed, I am no longer a registered user, my PayPal account has been deactivated etc, as I requested.
My biggest disapointment was I only got 10 negatives, I was hoping to go out with 145 straight negatives. Unfortunately,
it appears that my lure only drew whiners concerned about their big loss of a whole dollar ( Oh my goodness ). No compassion for their fellow man.
One person read it, understood that I had been ripped off for a much larger sum of money, and then said "I don't care what happened to you".
So, he obviously didn't understand that I am trying to tell people, this could happen to you.

And F Y I : I did ship out the first three $2 bills that were paid for. Since I never did and certainly never will recieve one cent from Ebay/PayPal,
these came out of my own pocket. In addition, a college student wrote to say that Ebay wouldn't refund her dollar because she was a PayPal Guest User.
I wrote her back and said that if she returned her address, I would refund her dollar myself. She responded and I mailed her a $2 bill today. there were winners, there wer losers.
So, congrats -jeffb, you are the winner in this group. I may look up your reciept and send you one.

So by doing something nice, or trying to, he is stupid? Don't say that, because he's not!

He sold an item on ebay.
When the payment was released, he grabbed it.
The item was returned for a refund.
There was no money in his account to pay the refund.
Ebay put his account into a negative balance.
    He sold more items.
Ebay put those payments toward his balance.
He can't get that money so he doesn't ship the items to the buyers.
He blames the fact that he doesn't ship on ebay holding the buyer's money from him.
Do I have all of that right?
