1961 nickel,,,,,,,,,,,,,WEIRD MM

    Is this an error, and if so, what kind. It almost like a d over a p,,what is the likelihood of that?

    The P mintmark wasn't used at all on the Jeffersons except for WWII nickels and after 1980, so a 1961 would not have such. It appears to be die deterioration in the area of the "D" mintmark. Jim
