    1. The purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes
    2. The nature of the copyrighted work
    3. The amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole
    4. The effect of the use upon the potential market for, or value of, the copyrighted work
"Yes, there are plenty of infringement suits, but generally not against bulletin boards. One of the main factors in deciding whether a particular quote is fair use is whether it serves a commercial (vs. non-profit educational) purpose. In the case of a bulletin board, the answer is generally "non-commercial"." http://www.quatloos.com/Q-Forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=8455

Daniel Ortega, the Sandinista leader during that era, is currently the president of Nicaragua again. He has "given up" a lot of the revolutionary rhetoric and tries to appeal to a broader demographic of Nicaragua. It is a country with a lot of problems, poverty is the primary one.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

It's strange that casino chips don't have IGWT on them considering the number of prayers said in a casino.

I remember some quip about prayer in school, "There will always be prayer in schools as long as there are exams."

I am convinced God made Dogs for the sole purpose of giving us the one other being that loves us unconditionally.

Really? You discovered that this week? Maybe it has never been posted before. BTW, it is not the only relevant clauses and then you have too look up the case law, like the Kinko's case et al.

Your understanding of copyright law is thin. It doesn't reflect well on you girlfriend.

Two things I try never to discuss with anyone is religion and politics.Politics about religion are a double whammy. No matter what you will wind up in an argument.

I wasn't preaching about the motto being on the coins, that's a different case. Funny how you quickly switch the topic back from where it drifted from. Either way, I was speaking specifically on the Wall of Separation, not the motto when I referenced the court case above.

In the case of the national motto, I do disagree. The courts somehow have concluded that the word God in it is secular and there are plenty of people who disagree, even religious people who don't want their government mingling with religion. We all know how that ends up, take a good look at Iran. ;)

Either way, just because the courts make a decision doesn't necessarily mean one has to agree themselves, just like you don't agree with their interpretation that the 1st Amendment is intended to be a wall between church and state. So preach all you want, the Supreme Court disagrees with you as well about the Wall. ;)
