The rivets are too defined, the drapery to the left of Liberty's right foot is wrong, and the drapery in Liberty's right hand is wrong.

See this link, and it's pretty obvious.

I always just hope that people don't pay a lot of money for all of the fakes I see. :(

Picked up another nice lot of toned Mercuries in various levels and condition.
    I like em all!

I've been looking for a nice 1828 small letters...a tough CBH, for a while now.

Dave Kahn offered up this one, part of Don Willis' Premier Collection auctioned in 2007. Wonderful luster, satiny surfaces, sharp strike free of any distractions. I liked the eye appeal so I jumped.

    Slot filled, moving one.
    Lance.

This one seems a little blast white compared to your other coins. Still a nice coin.

I just picked this up for $29 shipped. For those of you who think ICG is not one of the better TPGs (as I do), how are they at Full Bands on Mercury Dimes and designations like that?

A new ancient, pretty scarce emperor to acquire but it was very cheap.

I love die cracks & clashes!

  15. LindeDad

    LindeDad His Walker.

Love the way the luster is still showing in the clash too bad it has so many hairlines / rub marks or I think it would of graded higher.

  16. iGradeMS70

    iGradeMS70 AKA BustHalfBrian

I was "watching" that one, LindeDad, but never really planned on bidding.

I was attempting to attribute the Overton from the seller's poor-quality, distant slab shots. I was never able to figure it out, but narrowed it down to two marriages, one being O.108.
Well, now I can sleep tonight! ;) Nice pick-up! The luster in the crevices is really neat! :hail:

Arrived in the mail today. Always a sweet "surprise" to have a coin delivered you forgot you ordered. Another slot in my Everyman Registry Type Set and a good example of why I collect only this grade.

Some may know my disdain for Frankies, but sometimes I do end of with a few. I just received these. Nothing spectacular, but still very nice eye appeal. Even for a Franklin.
