2 questions about penny

    curious as to if these pillars are doubled, and if that is a common thing or not.

    same coin as above, also has this small 8 under the 0. i figured its pmd but wondering what could make a perfect 8 that small.

    The pillars don't appear to be doubled and the thing that looks like a small 8 is probably two tiny blisters that appeared this way. If you are new to coin collecting there are many forms of worthless doubling. the first thing a new collector needs to learn is how coins are made at the mint and what a real doubled die coin looks like.
