The nerve of one of CT's members...

What's up with this member (01mikep)?
This person, whom I had never met at the time, sees from my posts that I collect German Empire 1 mark toners. He then proceeds to ask me for my address.

So last week, these show up at my house.

Not only does this gentleman serve in our military forces (stationed in Germany), but he also sends a complete stranger 4 beautiful coins. Not to mention, these are not just worth their weight in silver...

The nerve!






Thank you so much Mike. They are beautiful and fit right into my collection perfectly!
Now at Christmas, when I open gifts from my family, I will be saying in my mind "Too bad this stuff isn't as nice as the present Mike sent".

The generosity of the coin community never ceases to amaze me.

My respect goes to 01mikep. People like mike probably do not realize that what they do is (unfortunately) very much out of the ordinary. And that is what makes them extraordinary.

 

I hope you sent the 1/2 Mark back to him with a note that reads thanks for your service but I only collect 1 Mark toners. LoL Great looking coins.
