He's lamenting the fact that Drs. Salk and Sabin were born too late?

What looks like a teardrop is actually caused by a cracked die.

So is this coin worth anything other then the 10 cents?

    Probably not.
But on Ebay? There's just no telling.

I beg to differ, the size and location of the crack would make it collectible, especially if the crack extends out into the field.
It won't make the OP a rich man but it's certainly worth more than a dime.

Some sort of die crack that has an interior expanded into what PCGS would probably consider a die "break".

Being a post-2001 mint error, it's definitely worth some sort of premium, just nothing substantial - Maybe $10, $15, or even $20 to the right person.

Either way, that's a hefty profit. Congrats! :thumb:

And don't be surprised if you get no bids... or enough bids to drive it up to fifty bucks. There's just no way of knowing, so good luck!

That's why I wrote "probably", to not lock myself in.

Well then, good luck and I hope you get it for the five spot!

You a politician Rick? They're always looking for ways not to "lock themselves in."

"The Crying Roosevelt Dime" One of a Kind! Made at the US Mint!

Well it will be going on eBay within the next few days.

Regarding the die crack look on his face extends a little to the flat spot of the coin near his forehead through his face and up to his chin. I will call It "The Crying Roosevelt Dime" One of a Kind Made Error!
