I recently came across a 1957-D Lincoln cent that shows a great deal of doubling. I am not an error expert but I have seen some pictures of machine doubling before, but it never looks quite this pronounced. I don't recall ever seeing a double die for this date and mint mark so I just wanted to submit this to some expert opinions. So please tell me what you think. Machine doubling or something else?

This is my first post here. From what I can tell this looks like a great site to talk about coins. Hope to hear from some of you. Thanks, in advance, for you comments.

I would say that it is machine doubling!....it is a pretty bad case of it.
