    Goofed and posted this in the US coin forum (bad weasel) I i guess i should repost it here as is proper :D

    got this at todays coin show, proof with case and sleeve. I will admit now that i swiped the picture as i just couldn't get a good one with my camera, even this one doesn't do the coin justice. It is a 2004 Canadian $.50 is truely a hologram etched in silver.

    Just received my two Royal Australian Mint domed 2012 Southern Cross (CRUX) proof one ounce silver coins, limited to a run of 10,000. This has got to be one of the best looking coins I've ever seen. And the dome effect is extra cool. It can be purchased directly from the Australian Mint for AU$100 plus shipping, which is pretty steep at $35 to the USA...better get more than one.

    10 pesos = 1 Centesimo;
    100 Centesimos = 1 Escudo

    I also managed the 1961 5 Centesimos with mintage of 12 000 in unc

    Hi, I believe it first appeared in the rare KM 96.1 1837 IJ 8 reales. The pattern represents a chained condor trying to free itself, which I believe represents Chile moving away from the Spanish rule. I am currently looking for this coin type, but from a higher mintage year that is less expensive. Almost bought one some time ago, but turned out to be fake. The 1839 8 reales from wiki e.g.

    Great, thanks for the information to you moneyer12 too.

    Could the chains also be interpreted as a reference to the abolishment of slavery?

    94 years ago today, on 9/26/1918,the Meuse-Argonne offensive began.On 11/11/1918, armitice was declared bringing WWI to an end. Who is to say this coin wans't there? Who was carring it in thier pocket? What did they spend it on? How did it cross the ocean to end up in my pocket? Gotta love history. Gotta love coinstar rejects.
