Some people looking for gold and silver coins at the Hampi World Heritage Site pulled down a Vijayanagar-era structure on Saturday night. http://ibnlive.in.com/news/treasure-hunters-pull-down-hampi-mandap/294567-60-115.html ~~fini
Money is truely the root of all evil. I have often wondered how many lives have been lost and how many have caused damage to structures trying to find that war chest of gold and coins to be rich only to be disapointed in the end.. I know for a fact if i knew of such a place id be one of them. Its a drive that makes one do stupied things even if we know there is danger to others and to ones self. Like standing in a chair that has wheels on it ill risk it just this one time. Good read thanks for the post.
probably the most misquoted verse in the Bible. money itself isn't evil. It is when we loose sight of the important things in life and focus on money that we have a problem.Man's problem is not money or the lack there of but rather lust. the actual quote is: "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." 1 Timothy 6:10 Richard
Not to be a sadist, but after reading this I thought it would have been fitting if the building they defiled landed on them. Not killing them or anything but just, leaving them unconscious or subdued until the authorities arrived.
I believe Douglas Adams said it best in the Hitchhiker's Guide "This planet has—or rather had—a problem, which was this: most of the people on it were unhappy for pretty much of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movements of small green pieces of paper, which is odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy."
