00005240* dollar, I got this in circulation, I want to sell it at my local coin club I have a table at, any idea on price, I can't post pics but it's on my website: https://sites.google.com/site/mycoinscom/bills
Spenders...maybe keep the starstar note for sixty years...if it was 00000542* then you might have $8 bucks
Yep, circulated and recent bill, not really even a low number. Should be interesting to see if you get that much.
Less than 0.5% of all notes in circulation are star notes. The problem is, 0.5% of a huge number is still a huge number. Even in perfect condition, it won't go for much. There's simply too many of them, but they are cool. I've saved a 1,5,10,20 and 50 that we have found in circulation. I see them often enough now to where I would only save an extremely good condition one now. The rest are spenders unless it's a really unique serial number.
none of the bills you have posted look like anything special. the 4 digit serial star note is to bad of condition. i have sold similar ones in gem condition and was lucky to get $10. if you like them keep'em if not they are all spenders
Don't price it, ask for offers. If you get one you like, accept it, if not stash the note for the next show.
Seriously, there isn't anything you have worth any added premium. You might get a buck or two extra for the star note but that's it.
Because he's 12 years old and full of youthful optimism and enthusiasm.... and most coin shows offer both paper and coins.
Because I found this in circulation and want to make a few bucks to put towards my collection, And jolring, lay off!
I found a 20.00(2004A series) star note in circulation and took it to my local coin shop and asked about it. The answer is unless its an uncirculated bill, star notes general don't fetch much other than face value. The only time you see and value when in circulation is if the bill is really old(like pre 20's). That was the shops offical answer. Now having said that anything along these lines is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If someone really wants your bill and is willing to pay to get it then hats off to you. But under normal circumstances don't expect to much.
