so i posted a thread yesterday about star notes because i didn't know where or how to find them. i normally leave all my money home when i go to work. last minute i brought it with me. i work at dunkins so i checked my ones as soon as i got in and found 2 then i acquired the 20 in mid day. what is conidered a low serial number? how do you know the rarity if there is such a thing for these. these are the ones i found today. and the obvious last question(s) are these worth more than face value? how would i know in the future i have something REALLY good? 20 2004 A SERIES GB 03964799 1 2006 SERIES B 03189225 1 2009 SERIES L 00523931
uspapermoneyinfo.com has all the serial runs and alot of info to learn from. The $20 and the $1 from new york are common print run stars and not worth much over face but if you want to keep them its up to you what you think is worthy of collecting or not.The $1 from San Francisco is from a short print run of 640k and is widely collected and to some consider orgasmic when finding one in circulation good find :thumb:.Depending on which series and short runs of stars were printed (640k or less) the sell for $20-25 in Gem condition for the $1's.
this is what i know run size 640,000 run number 1 run range 00000001-0640000 printed november 2011 production facility fort worth. tx well thats what this other site tells me. so i dont KNOW it, but that's what came up. does it help?
If the 2009 was in better shape I'd say it might be resold for a decent profit. I think I ran across your eBay listing for them; it was worth a shot! Maybe just try listing it by itself, because they are selling.
