    silentnviolent accumulator--selling--make an offer I can't refuse

I had a blast at the coin show yesterday! Took my little brother for his first time to a coin show, and showed him the ropes of haggling :) Here are some pickups! I'm going to start with the trickiest one to photograph, because I've been trying to get some good shots for hours and I'm not positive but I think that this Nic-a-Date bargain bin 1916 buffalo nickel is a DDO. Very hard to capture!

Do you see what I see? Or am I just seeing what I want to see? Either way, for $1.50 what the heck?

Here's a nice red 46D wheat with a cool lamination peel on the reverse. For a buck. :)

Here is a 1927 S Peace dollar. What do you all think for a grade? There's full luster. Is that an S/S? Guess what I paid ;)

Here's my first Flying Eagle cent :) 1858 small letters. What would you grade it? I think I got a great deal, but take a guess what I paid :)

    Saved the best for last!

I grabbed this large cent for $3 out of the bargain bin. When I dropped my little bro off at Dad's I showed him my take, and he looked at this for a few minutes, then burst out laughing! I just may have found a new avatar! haha! I can't believe that I didn't notice it, and that my Dad DID! Oh, my sides ache from a great laugh after an awesome day at the coin show! Hope this thing isn't too 'offensive' for anyone. How many large........ cents........ did they make like this? ;)

Pretty sure I can make out the bottom of a 'large' 4 and a 0 so I'm thinking this is an 1840 Large Date

There were more little piddlies, and a small sack of foreign coins, but I've shared the best! Now...... let's hear it! I'm expecting some interesting comments :)

Yeah, not sure how that large cent ended up like that. As offensive as it may be, that would be one of the show pieces of my collection.

I saw a cent with the same alteration at a local antique mall. It's not that clever or unique. Just a damaged coin IMO. If you were unable to notice that you probably shouldn't be buying coins.

I wonder if the large cent isn't some kind of brothel token.

Nice pickups, especially the flying eagle.

Dude, what's your problem? All I saw was a dateless large cent for $3. Maybe you shouldn't be spouting off. Keep the negativity to yourself. Jealous much?

I am asking if anyone else sees a DDO. There's only 10 photos, 8 of which are closeups, 4 duplicate photos so I could point out what I think I see. Check 'em out :)
