Thought it would be interesting to find out how everyone came up with their handle. I'll start. jody526= my first name + my birthday (May 26th) Next?
I can't remember how/where/when I picked up the handle of Tradernick....but it fits. I remember even in high school I'd barter this or that. One particular trade in the 70's I recall involved some cash, a deer rifle, some gloves, a dog, and a few other items that I can't remember.
Well, "Ziggy" was an old nickname going back to my college days which kinda stuck (though I'm not certain I liked the reasons why it stuck, but they meant well). And "29" has been my softball uniform number ever since I started playing. I decided to just stick the two together for my handle.
Mine is pretty simple, but was given to me by a friend inadvertantly. I am an avid cigar smoker, and a buddy of mine decided that he was going to call me CohibaCris (after the famous label Cuban cigar) on business conference calls, etc. After a while, I don't think most of my co-workers knew my last name. As a joke, they had my email address at work aliased with cohibacris@blahblah.com added. Other variants have persisted, but this one had the most staying power. Voila!
I have used mine in various incarnations since 1994. I don't know why...maybe I was just dying to liberate something. I have no idea what though...!
Lol well, mine is simple............ CHOCOLATE! PEANUTBUTTER! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM nothing better!
Mine's not very original. First name=Susan; Middle name=Lynn. The 9 is there because I needed it for my email add w/comcast and it stuck as a user name for just about everything.
My last name is Brown, my middle name Mckay. It's a name I used for a business I had a long time ago so I started using it when I first went online. The 4 because I guess there were a few before me.
bigelm is also a handle i use for an online journal. Anyway, my name is elmer and I'm sick of the name so i shortened it to elm. When I'm around my friends (still in high school so i have tons of em) we joke around about my weight. Ok so I'm a couple pounds overweight so that's where I got big, hence bigelm.
Picked up mine from a young boy scout over the past couple years. Everytime he introduces myself or the one of the staff, he calls us his national dealers.
Well great! ...and thanks. The field has gotten far larger than one man can even follow and there are many regents with vast knowledge of specialized areas.
The spelling of my grandfather's surname was anglicized at Ellis Island, but when I was choosing an eBay ID I decided to "Japanesize" the original meaning, so sweetheart that I am, I am now widely known as "sugar male person". (The Japanese influence comes from the Beautiful Bride to whom I'll have been married 49 years just over a week from now.
Mine is my initials and my graduation year. I don't really like it anymore, but it appears I cannot change it unless I get a new e-mail address, so I guess I am stuck with it for now!
