The VAMpires swear by ANACS because they will attribute all VAM's. However, if a particular VAM is one that PCGS accepts and it is worth submitting to PCGS in lieu of ANACS, they would jump ship in a heartbeat. For most coins, if you ask a dealer what such and such a coin is worth in an ANACS slab, you will find that they will almost always quote lower prices than they would for the same coin in a PCGS slab. If you don't believe this, take two identical coins of the same grade, one in a PCGS slab and one in an ANACS slab, and shop them around at a coin show. Chris
This has come up many times. Both PCGS and NGC are top tier grading companies. ANACS is not. It did fairly well in that past but the "new" ANACS after the merger is nothing special.
My answer on this Question. Is all About MONEY! IF ANACS or any TPG will Throw a LOTS of MONEY in THEIR ADS then they are really NUMBER ONE in TPG.
