  1. Interesting story of a man traveling across the country using only bacon as currency:

I am sure people might think "Bacon" as cheap, but 3,000 pound of Bacon may cost around $12k to $18k depend on quality of Bacon. :S

Interesting story, but how do you start out with one paperclip and wind up bartering for a house?

If he was bartering cigarettes instead of beacon he
might be accused of promoting heart disease.

Could with bacon too, all that "artery clogging saturated fat".

Cigarettes through could get you in trouble for tax evasion. States have different tax rates on cigarettes and if you are selling cigarettes purchased in one state in a different state that ISN'T receiving the tax money from their sale they can get ugly about it. High tax states that are next to low tax states do try and keep an eye out for cigarette smugglers believe it or not.
