Hit up about 25 banks yesterday, didn't find crap except for 1 40%er. Picked up $100 BWR halves (Remnants of a box somebody never picked up, apparently...), $150 in quarters, and $350 in dimes at my last stop, and of course that produces 1 walker, 1 '64, 7 40%ers, a '62 Washie, and 3 silver roosies. Saved the day.

Like everything else in this country, it depends on who has the power, influence, and money.....ie Steel Industry. What would suck is every single coin operated machine with a magnet in the US would have to be made compliant.

$81 in CWR halves. 23/40%, 5/90%. I also have 2 boxes to go through. I will post when I finish them.

    Gotta love CWR's.

2 boxes, 1 '37-S (Fills a hole!) and 3 40%ers, one of which is a '66 SMS coin. Not too bad.

So I went to the bank that I got the rolls of nickels that I found the war nickel in. They only have loose half dollars so I was gonna pick up a 100 bucks worth. Before they went in they asked me, Is there anything specific that I was looking for so I told them I was looking for ones that have the shiney non copper edge. They said that if it was silver I was looking for that they already pick through them...dooh!!. Then they told me a story about how a guy brought in like 300 dollars worth of silver quarters and they all bought them up. So I asked for the 100 dollars in rolled nickels(Loomis). The search for more wars begin when I get off work. I guess theres a lot of people in my area that do this since all of them know what I'm doing
Oh well. I dont have an account there and they are very nice about it as long as I dont get over bearing with it

Is it me or did the U.S. mint have a hard-on for nickels in 1964. It seems like every roll I've gone through so far has at least 3 from 64 in it some have more?!

I haven't posted for 10 days.....but haven't had much of a chance to search due to schedule. But this is what I have done:

    1 box of halves: 1 40%er
    1 box of dimes: skunk
1 box of nickels: 1 war nickel, 1 dateless buffalo, 1 slightly clipped planchet :)

That's all the boxes for the 10 days, then, yesterday I stopped at two banks:
    Bank 1: 10 rolls of dimes - 1 1964 ; $1.50 in halves - skunk
    Bank 2: 10 rolls of dimes - 1 1964, 1 1952; 3 CWR of halves - 40 40%ers :D and 1 1964

And, with that find, I past the 500 oz of silver found roll searching milestone. :D :) :D

$200 in BWR quarters = skunk
There are boxes of halves sitting there waiting for me to buy but my luck has been bad and I'm not feeling it.

Nice score Bob! I need to find some turf where the tellers don't cherrypick... quickly running out of that, ugh.
