But..but...someone was inconvenienced, and Wal Mart is a greedy profit seeking entity!! Pray tell, what damage was done? We are so eager to pile on to anyone who makes a mistake...especially when they represent a corporation. Ignorance, poor judgement, and disrespectful treatment may certainly be unwelcome and distasteful, but they're far from harmful in this case.
I think the manager should have gave her a gift certificate, that would close the case if she accepted it. now she might have a case because she was accused of trying to pass counterfit notes.
Nothing stops stupid/illegal behavior better and faster than a swift kick to the wallet. Not allowing you to leave the premises is imprisonment. Walmart had no legitimate reason to hold her against her will. False imprisonment is a crime. Pay the lady.
if that was me. i would have just schooled those slack jawed idiots on what is real and what is not. coming from a banking background as well as being a currency collector i would show them whats up. then take my merchandise and be off. i would actually like for them to call the cops. that way i can make them look like fools in front of everyone. its just plain and simple lack of knowing. i just think the whole situation is idiotic. ok that's enough of a rant here is another site that will make you chuckle http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/photos/
Public embarrassment, the loss of two hours of their time, potentially other losses from not being able to be somewhere else during those two hours. Video was mildly amusing.
You guys don't have to be suche edited toward me all the time. (But one thing I will say is, I sure as H:devil:ll wouldn't want them tearing my two $1,000 bills in half if I got them reissued and tried to spend a couple)
I don't either as they should reported those to police. But then again, we ARE talking about Wal-Mart employees.
I think I have watched that video 100 times, it still cracks me up every time. Here are my top five. 1) Ladies Man 2) Vanilla Chip 3) Oops I took a poop 4) Danger Sign 5) Tailgater Total Fail
Not sure it's still around, but did you see that one with the 400 lb. guy wearing a women's training top, and thong in the checkout line at a Wal-Mart? He was getting a bulk pack of disposable razors, and 6 boxes of Little Debbies cake rolls.
