1984 lincoln cent die clash with holes in back.

    are these holes on the back caused from gas bubbles? or is it damage? ty in advance

    From the photos, the areas look raised, suggesting a break in the die. Also the ghost image on the obverse is interesting.

    the obverse is a nice die clash. the reverse unfortunately is zinc rot and signifies the beginning of the end for this coin

    Does the Zinc react with something else to oxidize like copper or other metals?
