I recently sold some coins on eBay. The funds say estimated availability on 10/7. Ebay and paypal are asking me to print shipping labels and add tracking numbers etc. My question is: if I don't add a tracking number and ship the coins in a package that I have hand written the address on will I have an issue getting my money?
My suggestion just Print it and will automatically print the tracking number of that mail. Besides it will keep you to save time going to post office. Save time and money also you are protected too not to make any mistake for WRONG DESTINATION. Good Luck.
I agree with Redwin. Plus it protect you because you know when it was delivered. You also get you money faster from eBay.
If you print or add a shipping number into eBay or PayPal they can verify that the goods have been delivered. This way you will get your money faster. You don't have to use their shipping label or put a tracking number into eBay, you will just have to wait about 30 days for your money to be released by PayPal.
I just tried doing all of that and it said the estimated shipping cost is $13.17. That seems a little rediculous for an envelope weighing less than a pound.
That's because you gotta go get it at the post office. When you purchase it, ask for tracking as well.
I keep Flat Rate boxes and envelopes here at home. The USPS will deliver (bulk) packages of them for free. I use the USPS web site to print and pay for Priority shipping labels with flat rate postage. They even give a discount when you pay on line. The carrier picks up my outgoing packages at my door, too. The only time I actually have to go to the post office is to send registered mail. I only charge the buyer for the postage. I pay for any insurance or signature fees because they protect me from loss, not the buyer.
