All of you Lincoln fans should stick around and view the Lincoln Memorials. There will be some nice coins posted with a lot of top populations
I second gijoes comment. I've seen a lot of Memorials on CT and quite a few are "knock your socks off" impressive. The Lincoln cents have really aged quite gracefully. I say that now but I also remember being a young collector in the mid and late '50's. When the Memorial was first introduced I took it personally and felt quite offended that "my" Wheat cent was "no more". Anyway. I look forward to completing the whole 103 years. Don
I'm quite impressed with the mint for what they did in 2009-2010, a one-year commemorative series, then back to a traditional design. I just wish they had done something similar in 1959. The Memorial Cent could have been a wonderful one-year commemorative design, then changed to a traditional design for the next 49 years. I really like the new Shield design, so it's not that I don't like change, as long as it's appropriate. Anyway, this thread was a lot of fun, and I will look back in to see some nice coins, I just won't be able to contribute...Ray
A pile of Mint Set Toned 1957-D's The top coin is only the second known PCGS slabbed MS67BN Lincon Cent in the entire series.
This thread has been a treat for not only myself, but for a lot of guys on here. Looking forward to some amazing memorials, WingedLiberty might have a few to display proudly
