Hard to say what value might be on that one. It is a more common date and appears to be a problem coin. Would have to see it in hand to know for sure, but it looks like the coin has had damage repaired.

Thanks a lot for your response. Can you please educate this newbie why this is a problem coin? Short of sending you the coin, what other picture views do you need to verify if damage has been repaired for this one?
    Thanks.

On the obverse of the coin (crown side) if you look just to the left of the crown base it looks like the coin was heavily damaged and then repaired.

I see the same thing as GDJMSP only because my father has one just like this and his doesnt have damage so I looked at his and It looks different than this one. Im new to this but I do agree on the damage part. How would they have repaired it tho??

Wow! I did not see that.... Thanks Zander08 and GDJMSP for pointing it out. Anyway, considering everything, what is this coin's worth now?

    Thanks.

To me it looks like PVC damage, with the fields being smoothed afterwards to remove the pitting, but I may be wrong. Probably worth 40-60% of the undamaged price.

Thanks Jerome..Can you please educate a newbie like me..what's PVC damage and how can you confirm if this was done? If so,would you know what's it worth now with PVC damage? Thanks.

The chemical compound polyvinylchloride, a common constituent of old plastic coin flips (and some cheap modern ones), will react with silver and base metal, corroding the surface of the coin. To my (fairly untrained) eyes, it looks like that's what caused the yellow residue on both sides of the coin, and some of the damage has been "corrected" on the obverse. Worth about $200 if not less. It's a scarce issue.
