im a newbie and will just throw these out there and you can let me know whats good and whats not 1) The first is a quarter with a blemish 2) Quarter. cant remember the name, but i have a few coins like this, the edge looks like it was stamped twice or that it was offset so theirs a "ring" just inside the edge 3) nickel back 2011 looks like theres rings like a tree. didnt know if that was normal 4) same as #2 seems like a second stamp on edge 5) there seems to be an imperfect across the O in GOD, could be after but wanted your opinion. Thanks!
The only keeper would be the one with lathe circles. I don't know if it has additional value but it is interesting enough that I would keep it for my collection. The other coins are spenders.
My opinions. 1) The first is a quarter with a blemish Just environmental damage. 2) Quarter. cant remember the name, but i have a few coins like this, the edge looks like it was stamped twice or that it was offset so theirs a "ring" just inside the edge Slightly mis-aligned die. 3) nickel back 2011 looks like theres rings like a tree. didnt know if that was normal Lathe lines. Full steps? 4) same as #2 seems like a second stamp on edge Another slightly mis-aligned die. 5) there seems to be an imperfect across the O in GOD, could be after but wanted your opinion. Took a hit. Circulation damage.
so the slightly misaligned dies are pretty much too common to be worth anything? I keep some coins for my collection others i want to ebayto basically offset the 3% cost for taking these sacks of nickels and quarters back tot he bank to get sorted. thanks for the help everyone!
