The group has grown to 15, and I like the overall look--mostly rainbow and gold tone, with some rim toning. All easy dates to find, and not back-breaking in terms of expense. It will gradually grow in the ensuing months.
It's nice to see that you are not restricting your purchases to one type of holder or another. Therefore, the pool of coins from which you can choose is far larger.
Nope, I buy the coin I like. However, they are restricted to either PCGS or NGC, as those are the only two I trust. Both do well with toned coins, and to me have always been equal. I don't drink either's Kool Aid.
You know, you could be shortchanging yourself. There are a lot of nice coins in the old, small white ANACS slabs, and you might be able to get them at a pretty good price because of the restrictions eBay puts on the listings. Chris
I have had many ANACS coins over the years. I don't feel they do all that well with grading of toned Morgans.
